Information System

Information System is the discipline concerned with the development, use, application and influence of information systems. An information system, following a definition of Langefors , is a technologically implemented medium for recording, storing, and disseminating linguistic expressions, as well as for drawing conclusions from such expressions. The technology used for implementing information systems by no means has to be computer technology. A notebook in which one lists certain items of interest is, according to that definition, an information system. Likewise, there are computer applications that do not comply with this definition of information systems. Embedded systems are an example. A computer application that is integrated into clothing or even the human body does not generally deal with linguistic expressions. One could, however, try to generalize Langefors' definition such as to cover more recent developments.

Types of Information System
For most businesses, there are a variety of requirements for information. Senior managers need information to help with their business planning. Middle management need more detailed information to help them monitor and control business activities. Employees with operational roles need information to help them carry out their duties. As a result, businesses tend to have several "information systems" operating at the same time. This revision note highlights the main categories of information system and provides some examples to help you distinguish between them.

Management Information Systems is a general name for the academic discipline covering the application of people, technologies, and procedures—collectively, the information system—to business problems. This field is directly linked to Management by objectives and to the monitoring of Key performance indicators. It can also help in processing specific information for decision making (for example analyse customer behavior).

Some confusions between MIS and IT

In business, information systems support not only business processes and operations, but also decision-making and competitive strategies, which are the fields of MIS. As an area of study, MIS is sometimes referred to, in a restrictive sense, as Information technology management. The study of information systems is usually a commerce and business administration discipline. It involves frequently software engineering, but also distinguishes itself by concentrating on the integration of computer systems with the aims of the organization. The area of study should not be confused with computer science which is more theoretical in nature and deals mainly with software creation, and not with computer engineering, which focuses more on the design of computer hardware. IT service management is a practitioner-focused discipline centering on the same general domain.

Information Technology

Information Technology is also known as Information and Communication(s) Technology (ICT) and Infocomm in Asia. IT is concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information, especially in large organizations. In particular, IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information. For that reason, computer professionals are often called IT specialists or Business Process Consultants, and the division of a company or university that deals with software technology is often called the IT department. Other names for the latter are information services (IS) or management information services (MIS), managed service providers (MSP). In the United Kingdom education system, information technology was formally integrated into the school curriculum when the National Curriculum was devised. It was quickly realised that the work covered was useful in all subjects. With the arrival of the Internet and the broadband connections to all schools, the application of IT knowledge, skills and understanding in all subjects became a reality. This change in emphasis has resulted in a change of name from Information Technology to Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

ICT in Education can be understood as the application of digital equipment to all aspects of teaching and learning. It is present in almost all schools and is of growing influence. The growth of use of Information and Communications Technology and its tools in the field of Education has seen tremendous growth in the recent past. Technology has entered the classroom in a big way to become part of the teaching and learning process.

Field Trip

On satursday we had field trip to kanchanaburi province for Thai study. I was very surprised and happy to visiting kanchanaburi because I've never there before. We had meeting at 7 AM I came earlier so did Key. We left university 10 minutes pass 8 AM. We arrived at first place of out destination at 10 AM. it was Ban Kao museum. Then we moved to prasat Muang Sing. We were there for about an hour. Then we had lunch on the coach and went to the Death Railway. It was very hot. It packed of people as foreigners and Thai people.
We took a train for sight seeing the Death Railway. we visited only 3 places in limit time which I think it was not enough because there are more interesting places to visit. I wish I am going to visit kanchanaburi again with my parents. We arrived unvidersity around 20 mins pass 5 PM. Then I took bus back to my auntie's house. I was Kind of tired of that day.

3rd Anniversary of faculty

On friday it was 3rd anniversary of my faculty. It was very good opputunity for me spending time with my friends and others in faculty. I performance with my classmates. It took about 3 weeks for practicing and making perfect performance. We worked hard for it. During performance it was not as good as I expect. the song was skipping during the performance. Anyway in the end we got award for the best performance. I was very surprised how we got award of the best performance. I took pictures alot with my friends. I enjoy eating and chit chatting with friends. On that day it was one of my friend birthday. She was lucky, she got 200 baht of Central Plaza certificate from faculty. On Satursday we have field trip to Kanchanaburi with Ajarn Chatchai for Thai Study.

Korean Band

Lately I've been watched one Koprean Band, named Super Junior as their activities for 14 episodes. It's called" Super Junior Fullhouse" It was very funny. They are 12 members who have to stay with 2 female foreigners. Anyway I liked one member from that bandvery much , his name was Kim Hee Chul. He has Girly Face., so he has his nickname as Cin. I liked other members also. They are funny at the same time they did stupid stuff. One of very funny episodes was episodes 9 part2. Especially Hee Chul case it made me crying because of laughing too much. Just watch it. Enjoy!

Loykratong

At First we went to eat at yamSab at Major Rachayothin. Then we went to KU. It was very crowed. We just walked around and looked for kratong. In KU it was kinda differennt Loykratong I have been. There are alot of interesting to do. For example SaoNoiTokNam, it was guys dressed as gals were sitting in the roof which under was minipool. Then it was time for them to tok nam. Other trew a bottle of water to them. I think it was very hurt, so they fell down so fast before they got hit from bottles of water. There are a lot of club begging money for donations. In the end we decided to buy kratong which was kinda big, it cost 40 baht. Then we made a wish and put into water. we just figure out it was kratong baitong, however the base was foam. After that I went back to my dorm, it was past 10 pm already.

Normal Sunday

I went to Saphanmai with my auntie and my uncle. Then I went to The malls Ngamwongwan to see Women to Women on tour in Bangkok. I bought 2 books, one book was called Just Speak Out by Nina. Other one was called เตือนภัยสำหรับผู้หญิง. I bought one polo tee. It cost 200 and I also got free folder. After that I was waiting for them came out, however it was kinda borning. I changed my mind going back to my dorm. Then I went to university because I have plan for Loykratong with my classmates.
